My name is Ian Morcom, I am currently an Education student at Eastern Oregon University. I really liked to read when I was younger, however once I reached highschool I lost the love of reading due to my love of sports. I have only recently, within the last two years, started to read again for enjoyment. I like to read adventure, mystery, fantasy, and inspirational stories. I have most recently discovered the Eragon series which is an adventure/fantasy book, and just finished Beyond Belief, a book about MLB star Josh Hamilton.
I really enjoy reading to children and having children read to me. I think that reading for children has become a challenge with all the technology that we have, such as computer games, gaming consoles, handheld games, and television. I think that it is very important for children to keep reading for educational and imaginative purposes. I am excited to get to read a numerous amount of childrens books to learn of new authors and to explore a wide variety of books.
